True wind stroke
真中风 〔真中風〕zhēn zhòng fēng
Sudden collapse with clouding loss of consciousness, in some cases with deviated eyes and mouth, hemiplegia, stiffness of the tongue impeding speech, and urinary and fecal stoppage, attributed to external wind. See wind stroke.

Medicinal therapy: Course and resolve wind evil. Use variations of
Acumoxatherapy: Base treatment mainly on BL, GB, and TB. Select GB-20 (Wind Pool, 风池 fēng chí), BL-11 (Great Shuttle, 大杼 dà zhù), BL-12 (Wind Gate, 风门 fēng mén), TB-5 (Outer Pass, 外关 wài guān), LI-4 (Union Valley, 合谷 hé gǔ), and LU-7 (Broken Sequence, 列缺 liè quē); needle with drainage. Moxa may be added if necessary.
Point selection according to signs: For urinary and fecal stoppage, add ST-25 (Celestial Pivot, 天枢 tiān shū), TB-6 (Branch Ditch, 支沟 zhī gōu), SP-6 (Three Yīn Intersection, 三阴交 sān yīn jiāo), BL-23 (Kidney Transport, 肾俞 shèn shù), CV-3 (Central Pole, 中极 zhōng jí), and BL-28 (Bladder Transport, 膀胱俞 páng guāng shù); needle with even supplementation and drainage. For deviated eyes and mouth or hemiplegia without obstruction of stool or urine, see hemiplegia and deviated eyes and mouth. For orifice block, add GV-26 (Water Trough, 水沟 shuǐ gōu), GV-20 (Hundred Convergences, 百会 bǎi huì), PC-9 (Central Hub, 中冲 zhōng chōng), LI-4 (Union Valley, 合谷 hé gǔ), LR-2 (Moving Between, 行间 xíng jiān), and ST-40 (Bountiful Bulge, 丰隆 fēng lóng); needle with drainage. For desertion patterns, burn moxa cones at CV-4 (Pass Head, 关元 guān yuán), and CV-6 (Sea of Qì, 气海 qì hǎi), and apply moxibustion on salt or ginger at CV-8 (Spirit Gate Tower, 神阙 shén què) until the sweating ceases, the limbs become warm, and pulse rises.
