Dizziness
眩晕 〔眩暈〕xuàn yūn
Visual distortion with a whirling sensation in the head that, in severe cases, can upset the sense of balance. In some literature, flowery vision causing dizziness is known as dizzy vision,
whereas dizziness giving rise to flowery vision is called dizzy head.
Dizziness can be caused by the six excesses or by internal damage to qì, blood, bowels and viscera, the most common being wind-fire, phlegm-damp, and vacuity of right. See entries listed below.
