Dryness-fire dizziness

燥火眩晕 〔燥火眩暈〕zào huǒ xuàn yūn

Dizziness attributed to contraction of dryness-heat, characterized by spinning head and black vision, and accompanied by generalized heat, vexation and agitation, thirst with intake of fluid, unquiet sleep, reddish urine, and an agitated racing pulse.

Medicinal therapy: Clear fire and moisten dryness. Use Bupleurum Liver-Clearing Beverage (柴胡清肝饮 chái hú qīng gān yǐn) or Lophatherum and Gypsum Decoction (竹叶石膏汤 zhú yè shí gāo tāng).

Acumoxatherapy: Base treatment mainly on GV, LI, PC, and HT. Select GV-20 (Hundred Convergences, 百会 bǎi huì), LI-4 (Union Valley, 合谷 hé gǔ), LI-11 (Pool at the Bend, 曲池 qū chí), TB-2 (Humor Gate, 液门 yè mén), PC-7 (Great Mound, 大陵 dà líng), LR-2 (Moving Between, 行间 xíng jiān), HT-8 (Lesser Mansion, 少府 shào fǔ), KI-3 (Great Ravine, 太溪 tài xī), SP-6 (Three Yīn Intersection, 三阴交 sān yīn jiāo), and HT-7 (Spirit Gate, 神门 shén mén); needle with drainage.
