Damp phlegm dizziness

湿痰眩晕 〔濕痰眩暈〕shī tán xuàn yūn

Dizziness due to damp phlegm congestion. Damp phlegm dizziness is characterized by heavy head and clouded vision, oppression in the chest, nausea, vomiting and retching, slimy white tongue fur, and a soggy pulse. It usually occurs in people who are overweight.

Medicinal therapy: Dry dampness and transform phlegm. Use Pinellia, White Atractylodes, and Gastrodia Decoction (半夏白朮天麻汤 bàn xià bái zhú tiān má tāng) combined with Two Matured Ingredients Decoction (二陈汤 èr chén tāng). If there are qì vacuity signs, Six Gentlemen Decoction (六君子汤 liù jūn zǐ tāng) may also be given.
