Qì depression dizziness

气郁眩晕 〔氣鬱眩暈〕qì yù xuàn yūn

Dizziness due to qì depression. Qì depression dizziness arises when binding depression of the seven affects causes qì depression which in turn engenders phlegm. Accompanying signs include mental depression, heart palpitation or fearful throbbing, periodic heat effusion, and eyebrow pain.

Medicinal therapy: Quiet the spirit and transform phlegm using formulas like Jade Flask Pill (玉壶丸 yù hú wán).

Acumoxatherapy: Base treatment mainly on LR, PC, SP, GB, and ST. Select GB-20 (Wind Pool, 风池 fēng chí), Greater yáng (tài yáng) (太阳 tài yáng), GV-23 (Upper Star, 上星 shàng xīng), LR-3 (Supreme Surge, 太冲 tài chōng), PC-6 (Inner Pass, 内关 nèi guān), SP-6 (Three Yīn Intersection, 三阴交 sān yīn jiāo), TB-6 (Branch Ditch, 支沟 zhī gōu), ST-40 (Bountiful Bulge, 丰隆 fēng lóng), and HT-7 (Spirit Gate, 神门 shén mén), and needle with drainage.
