Blood loss dizziness

失血眩晕 〔失血眩暈〕shī xuè xuàn yūn

Dizziness due to loss of blood through blood ejection, nosebleed, flooding and spotting, or external injury, and accompanied by somber-white facial complexion, heart palpitation, spontaneous sweating, pale tongue, and, in severe cases, reversal desertion (i.e., shock).

Medicinal therapy: Supplement the blood and boost qì with Ginseng Provisioning-Nourishing Decoction (人参养荣汤 rén shēn yǎng róng tāng) or Spleen-Returning Decoction (归脾汤 guī pí tāng).

Acumoxatherapy: Base treatment mainly on GV, CV, ST, and SP. Select GV-20 (Hundred Convergences, 百会 bǎi huì), ST-8 (Head Corner, 头维 tóu wéi), CV-12 (Center Stomach Duct, 中脘 zhōng wǎn), ST-36 (Leg Three Lǐ, 足三里 zú sān lǐ), BL-20 (Spleen Transport, 脾俞 pí shù), and SP-1 (Hidden White, 隐白 yǐn bái); needle with supplementation and add moxa. For reversal desertion, add GV-26 (Human Center, 人中 rén zhōng), GV-25 (White Bone-Hole, 素髎 sù liáo), PC-6 (Inner Pass, 内关 nèi guān), CV-4 (Pass Head, 关元 guān yuán), and KI-1 (Gushing Spring, 湧泉 yǒng quán).
