Wind dizziness

风眩 〔風眩〕fēng xuàn

1. Also wind dizzy head. Dizziness due to wind evil invading the brain in constitutional vacuity. Wind dizziness is characterized by dizzy head and vision, retching, limb pain, and, in severe cases, reverse flow, and occurs at irregular intervals.

Medicinal therapy: Support right and dispel wind using formulas such as Chuanxiong Powder (川芎散 chuān xiōng sǎn) or Pubescent Angelica Powder (独活散 dú huó sǎn).

Acumoxatherapy: Base treatment mainly on GV, GB, ST, and SP. Needle with drainage at GB-20 (Wind Pool, 风池 fēng chí), GV-16 (Wind Mansion, 风府 fēng fǔ), GV-20 (Hundred Convergences, 百会 bǎi huì), and PC-6 (Inner Pass, 内关 nèi guān), and with supplementation at BL-20 (Spleen Transport, 脾俞 pí shù), CV-12 (Center Stomach Duct, 中脘 zhōng wǎn), ST-36 (Leg Three Lǐ, 足三里 zú sān lǐ), and SP-6 (Three Yīn Intersection, 三阴交 sān yīn jiāo).

2. Epilepsy.
