Wind dispersion

风消 〔風消〕 fēng xiāo

A disease name mentioned in Plain Questions (素问 sù wèn, yīn yáng bié lùn) denoting heat effusion and general emaciation due to dissipation of the heart spirit through preoccupation and frustration. In women, there may also be amenorrhea or blood spillage, whereas in men there may be blood collapse and seminal loss.

Medicinal therapy: Course the liver and resolve depression; regulate and nourish the heart and spleen. Free Wanderer Powder (逍遥散 xiāo yáo sǎn) or Spleen-Returning Decoction (归脾汤 guī pí tāng) may be used.
