Ingredients
- Jīng jiè suì (荆芥穗 Schizonepetae Flos, schizonepeta spike) 60g
- Bò hé (薄荷 Menthae Herba, mint) 60g
- Qiāng huó (羌活 Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix, notopterygium [root]) 60g
- Fáng fēng (防风 Saposhnikoviae Radix, saposhnikovia) 60g
- Chuān xiōng (川芎 Chuanxiong Rhizoma, chuanxiong [rhizome]) 60g
- Chán tuì (蝉蜕 Cicadae Periostracum, cicada molting) (stir–fried) 60g
- Jiāng cán (僵蚕 Bombyx Batryticatus , silkworm) 60g
- Fú líng (茯苓 Poria , poria) 60g
- Chén pí (陈皮 Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, tangerine peel) 15g
- Hòu pò (厚朴 Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex, officinal magnolia bark) 15g
- Sān qī (三七 Notoginseng Radix, notoginseng [root]) 60g
Actions: Dispels
Indications: Wind-damp in the channels characterized by headache, dizziness, nasal congestion, numbness and tingling, itching, and papules. It is especially effective if the wind evil is attacking the inner body causing abdominal pain, and pervading the outer body, causing itching.

Method: Grind to a powder.
Dosage: 6–9g at a time. Take with water.
Variations:
Blood vacuity orblood dryness : Add Dāng guī (当归 Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Chinese angelica), Bái sháo (白芍 Paeoniae Radix Alba, white peony [root]), Shú dì huáng (熟地黄 Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata, cooked rehmannia [root]), Hé shǒu wū (何首乌 Polygoni Multiflori Radix, flowery knotweed [root]), and Huáng jīng (黄精 Polygonati Rhizoma, polygonatum [root]) to boost yīn and nourish the blood.Blood heat : Add Shēng dì huáng (生地黄 Rehmanniae Radix Exsiccata seu Recens, dried/fresh rehmannia [root]), Mǔ dān pí (牡丹皮 Moutan Cortex, moutan [bark]), Chì sháo (赤芍 Paeoniae Radix Rubra, red peony [root]), Zǐ cǎo (紫草 Arnebiae/Lithospermi Radix, arnebia/lithospermum) to cool the blood.- Infection: Add Zǐ huā dì dīng (紫花地丁 Violae Herba, violet), Pú gōng yīng (蒲公英 Taraxaci Herba, dandelion), Yě jú huā (野菊花 Chrysanthemi Indici Flos, wild chrysanthemum flower), Jīn yín huā (金银花 Lonicerae Flos, lonicera [flower]), and Tiān kuí zǐ (天葵子 Semiaquilegiae Radix, semiaquilegia root) to clear heat and resolve toxin.
- Pronounced damp signs: Add Yì yǐ rén (薏苡仁 Coicis Semen, coix [seed]), Tǔ fú líng (土茯苓 Smilacis Glabrae Rhizoma, smooth greenbrier [root]), Dì fū zǐ (地肤子 Kochiae Fructus, kochia [fruit]), and Bái xiān pí (白鲜皮 Dictamni Cortex, dictamnus [bark]) to eliminate dampness and relieve itching.
- Pronounced wind: Add Wū shé (乌蛇 Zaocys , black-striped snake) (wū shé), Bái huā shé (白花蛇 Bungarus seu Agkistrodon , krait/agkistrodon), Quán xiē (全蝎 Scorpio , scorpion), and Wú gōng (蜈蚣 Scolopendra , centipede) to dispel wind. Cì wèi pí (刺猬皮 Erinacei Pellis, hedgehog’s pelt), Chuān shān jiǎ (穿山甲 Manis Squama, pangolin scales), and Dì lóng (地龙 Pheretima , earthworm) may be added to free the network vessels, and Fú píng (浮萍 Spirodelae Herba, duckweed) can be added to relieve itching.
