Dosage & Method:
Oral: Decoct (3–9g) or use in powder preparations (1.5–3g at a time). Topical: Grind to a powder and sprinkle on the affected area or apply mixed.
Quality:
Large pelts scraped clean of flesh and with neat prickles are the best.

Erinaceus europaeus (the common European hedgehog): Manchuria, northern, eastern, and central regions including Sìchuān. Hemiechinus dauuricus: western Jílín and eastern Inner Mongolia to as far south as Héběi.
