• Zhǐ ké (qiào) (枳壳 Aurantii Fructus, bitter orange) 30g
• Qīng pí (青皮 Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride, unripe tangerine peel) 30g
• Dà fēng zǐ (大风子 Hydnocarpi Semen, hydnocarpus [seed]) 30g
• Chì shí zhī (赤石脂 Halloysitum Rubrum , halloysite) 30g
• Chì sháo (赤芍 Paeoniae Radix Rubra, red peony [root]) 30g
• Tiān má (天麻 Gastrodiae Rhizoma, gastrodia [root]) 30g
• Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) 30g
• Wū yào (乌药 Linderae Radix, lindera [root]) 30g

• Qīng fēng téng (青风藤 Sinomenii Caulis, Orient vine) 30g
• Qīng fěn (轻粉 Calomelas , calomel) 15g
• Ér chá (儿茶 Catechu , cutch) 15g
• Dīng xiāng (丁香 Caryophylli Flos, clove) 15g
• Zhāng nǎo (樟脑 Camphora , camphor) 15g
• Mò yào (没药 Myrrha , myrrh) 15g
• Xuè jié (血竭 Daemonoropis Resina, dragon’s blood) 15g
• Rǔ xiāng (乳香 Olibanum , frankincense) 15g

Indications: Wind-damp impediment (fēng shī bì) pain, lumbar pain, numbness and tingling of the limbs; injury from knocks and falls.

Method: The first 36 agents are fried crisp in sesame oil after crushing. The dregs are strained off and the oil is further cooked to paste. The other agents, finely powdered, are added at the end.

Dosage: Mounted on dog skin or sheep skin. Warm to soften the paste before sticking on the affected area.
