Notes: Raw aconite is highly toxic and hence not recommended for oral administration. Where specified in formulas for powerful yang-returning counterflow-stemming action, it should always be boiled for a long time first, otherwise it should be replaced by 淡附片, which is aconite that has been soaked, not boiled, or by other processed types. It may be used topically, but not to open wounds.XXX
