Static blood stomach duct pain

瘀血胃脘痛 〔瘀血胃脘痛〕yū xuè wèi wǎn tòng

Pain in the stomach duct due to qì stagnation and congealing blood. Pain like the stabbing of a knife, of fixed location, that refuses pressure and cold may be accompanied by the ejection of dark purple blood, black stool, or hiccup after drinking. The tongue fur is dark purple and the pulse is fine and rough.

Medicinal therapy: Treatment takes the approach of transforming stasis and freeing the network vessels and uses formulas like Instant Relief Powder (手拈散 shǒu niān sǎn) or Sudden Smile Powder (失笑散 shī xiào sǎn).

Acumoxatherapy: Base treatment mainly on ST, PC, LR, and SP. Select CV-12 (Center Stomach Duct, 中脘 zhōng wǎn), ST-36 (Leg Three Lǐ, 足三里 zú sān lǐ), PC-6 (Inner Pass, 内关 nèi guān), SP-4 (Yellow Emperor, 公孙 gōng sūn), BL-17 (Diaphragm Transport, 膈俞 gé shù), BL-18 (Liver Transport, 肝俞 gān shù), LR-14 (Cycle Gate, 期门 qī mén), and SP-6 (Three Yīn Intersection, 三阴交 sān yīn jiāo). Needle with drainage.
