A summerheat pattern with rib-side pain.

Medicinal therapy: Resolve summerheat; clear the liver and gallbladder. Use Six-to-One Powder (六一散 liù yī sǎn) plus watermelon rind (Citrulli Exocarpium, 西瓜皮 xī guā pí), loofah (丝瓜络 sī guā luò), gardenia (Gardeniae Fructus, 山栀子 shān zhī zǐ), virgate wormwood (Artemisiae Scopariae Herba, 茵陈蒿 yīn chén hāo), and toosendan (Toosendan Fructus, 川楝子 chuān liàn zǐ).

Acumoxatherapy: Base treatment on LI, ST, GB, and TB. Select PC-6 (Inner Pass, 内关 nèi guān), LI-4 (Union Valley, 合谷 hé gǔ), ST-36 (Leg Three Lǐ, 足三里 zú sān lǐ), LR-14 (Cycle Gate, 期门 qī mén), GB-24 (Sun and Moon, 日月 rì yuè), TB-6 (Branch Ditch, 支沟 zhī gōu), and GB-34 (Yáng Mound Spring, 阳陵泉 yáng líng quán). Needle with drainage.
