Sagging of one testicle

偏坠 〔偏墜〕piān zhuì

Also hemilateral sagging. Painful swelling and sagging of one testicle attributable to phlegm-damp, static blood, or liver channel fire-heat. Sagging of the left testicle is usually due to static blood or liver fire; sagging of the right testicle is usually due to phlegm-damp or food accumulation.

Medicinal therapy: Phlegm-damp or static blood patterns can be treated with Tangerine Pip Pill (橘核丸 jú hé wán), whereas liver channel fire-heat can be treated with Gentian Liver-Draining Decoction (龙胆泻肝汤 lóng dǎn xiè gān tāng).

Acumoxatherapy: Base treatment mainly on CV, LR, SP, and ST. Main points: LR-1 (Large Pile, 大敦 dà dūn), LR-4 (Mound Center, 中封 zhōng fēng), LR-3 (Supreme Surge, 太冲 tài chōng), SP-6 (Three Yīn Intersection, 三阴交 sān yīn jiāo), and CV-4 (Pass Head, 关元 guān yuán).

Etymology

Chinpiān, biased, to one side; 坠 zhuì, sag. Hemilateral sagging.
