Blood-Quieting Decoction
宁血汤 〔寧血湯〕 níng xuè tāng

Ingredients
- Xiān hè cǎo (仙鹤草 Agrimoniae Herba, agrimony) 15g
- Mò hàn lián (墨旱莲 Ecliptae Herba, eclipta) 15g
- Shēng dì huáng (生地黄 Rehmanniae Radix Exsiccata seu Recens, dried/fresh rehmannia [root]) 15g
- Shān zhī tàn (山栀炭 Gardeniae Fructus Carbonisatus, charred gardenia [fruit]) 6g
- Xiān máo (仙茅 Curculiginis Rhizoma, curculigo [root]) 15g
- Bái jí (白及 Bletillae Rhizoma, bletilla [root]) 9g
- Bái liǎn (白蔹 Ampelopsis Radix, ampelopsis [root]) 6g
- Cè bǎi yè (侧柏叶 Platycladi Cacumen, arborvitae leaf) 15g
- Ē jiāo (阿胶 Asini Corii Colla, ass hide glue) 15g
- Bái máo gēn (白茅根 Imperatae Rhizoma, imperata [rhizome]) 15g
Actions: Cools the blood and stanches bleeding.
Indications: Hemorrhage of the ocular fundus with red cheeks and lips, bitter taste in the mouth, dizziness, tinnitus, aching lumbus, seminal emission, vexing heat in the five hearts, crimson tongue, and a fine rapid stringlike pulse.
Method: Decoct with water.
