Roundworm stomach duct pain

蚘动胃脘痛 〔蚘動胃脘痛〕huí dòng wèi wǎn tòng

Stomach pain due to roundworm, characterized by episodes of acute pain associated with somber-white complexion, reversal cold of the limbs, and in some cases vomiting of roundworm. Between episodes the complexion is yellow, sometimes with white patches, and despite normal appetite the body is emaciated.

Medicinal therapy: The condition can be treated with a decoction of mume (Mume Fructus, 乌梅 wū méi), areca (Arecae Semen, 槟榔 bīng láng), and chinaberry root bark (Meliae Radicis Cortex, 苦楝根皮 kǔ liàn gēn pí).

Acumoxatherapy: Base treatment mainly on alarm and uniting points of ST, PC, SP, and empirical points. Select CV-12 (Center Stomach Duct, 中脘 zhōng wǎn), ST-36 (Leg Three Lǐ, 足三里 zú sān lǐ), PC-6 (Inner Pass, 内关 nèi guān), ST-25 (Celestial Pivot, 天枢 tiān shū), SP-4 (Yellow Emperor, 公孙 gōng sūn), and Hundred Worm Nest (百虫窝 bǎi chóng wō); needle with drainage.
