Seven damages

七伤 〔七傷〕qī shāng

1. From Essential Prescriptions of the Golden Cabinet (金匮要略 jīn guì yào lüè, xuè bì xū láo bìng mài zhèng bìng zhì). Food damage, worry damage, drink damage, sexual intemperance damage, hunger damage, taxation damage, and channel-network and provisioning-defense damage.

2. From The Origin and Indicators of Disease (诸病源候论 zhū bìng yuán hòu lùn). Great overeating damages the spleen; great anger and qì counterflow damages the liver; exertion or lifting heavy weights and long sitting on wet ground damages the kidney; cold in the body and cold drinks damage the lung; anxiety, worry, and thought and cogitation damage the heart; wind, rain, cold, and summerheat damage the body; great fear damages the mind.
