Blood vacuity heart palpitation

血虚心悸 〔血虛心悸〕 xuè xū xīn jì

Heart palpitation due to blood vacuity depriving the heart of nourishment. It is associated with lusterless facial complexion, somber-white nails, lack of strength in the limbs, dizziness, insomnia, pale tongue, and weak fine pulse.

Medicinal therapy: Nourish the blood and boost yīn. Use Cinnabar Spirit-Quieting Pill (朱砂安神丸 zhū shā ān shén wán) or Spleen-Returning Decoction (归脾汤 guī pí tāng).

Acumoxatherapy: Base treatment mainly on back transport points, CV, HT, PC, and ST. Select BL-15 (Heart Transport, 心俞 xīn shù), CV-14 (Great Tower Gate, 巨阙 jù què), BL-17 (Diaphragm Transport, 膈俞 gé shù), BL-20 (Spleen Transport, 脾俞 pí shù), HT-7 (Spirit Gate, 神门 shén mén), PC-6 (Inner Pass, 内关 nèi guān), ST-36 (Leg Three Lǐ, 足三里 zú sān lǐ), SP-6 (Three Yīn Intersection, 三阴交 sān yīn jiāo), and HT-5 (Connecting Lǐ, 通里 tōng lǐ); needle with even supplementation and drainage.
