Category:

Properties: Sweet and salty; balanced; nontoxic*.

Indications:

Enriches yīn, supplements the blood, and stanches bleeding.

yīn vacuity and blood depletion; steaming bone taxation heat effusion; vomiting of blood (blood ejection); nosebleed (nǜ xuè); heat vexation; fright palpitation; kidney vacuity lumbar pain; limp legs and knees; flooding and spotting; vaginal discharge.

Dosage & Method: Oral: Take melted in hot water or wine (3–9g).

Warnings: Contraindicated in cold-damp in the stomach.

Quality: The best quality is brittle and translucent.
