Infradiaphragmatic Stasis-Expelling Decoction
膈下逐瘀汤 〔膈下逐瘀湯〕gé xià zhú yū tāng

Ingredients:
- Táo rén (桃仁 Persicae Semen, peach kernel) 6–9g
- Hóng huā (红花 Carthami Flos, carthamus [flower]) 6–9g
- Dāng guī (当归 Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Chinese angelica) 6–9g
- Chì sháo (赤芍 Paeoniae Radix Rubra, red peony [root]) 6–9g
- Chuān xiōng (川芎 Chuanxiong Rhizoma, chuanxiong [rhizome]) 6–9g
- Dān pí (丹皮 Moutan Cortex, moutan [bark]) 6–9g
- Wū yào (乌药 Linderae Radix, lindera [root]) 6–9g
- Xiāng fù (香附 Cyperi Rhizoma, cyperus [rhizome]) 3–6g
- Yán hú suǒ (延胡索 Corydalis Rhizoma, corydalis [rhizome]) 3–6g
- Zhǐ ké (qiào) (枳壳 Aurantii Fructus, bitter orange) 3–6g
- Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) 1–3g
- Wǔ líng zhī (五灵脂 Trogopteri Faeces, squirrel's droppings) 6–9g
Action: Expels stasis and disperses concretions; moves qì and relieves pain.
Indication: Amassment of static blood below the diaphragm, or abdominal glomus lump below the rib-side. Tongue: Purple with speckles at the margin. Pulse: Tight, stringlike, and rough.
