Ingredients

• Má huáng (麻黄 Ephedrae Herba, ephedra) 9g
• Xìng rén (杏仁 Armeniacae Semen, apricot kernel) 6g
• Shēng shí gāo (生石膏 Gypsum Crudum, crude gypsum) 18g
• Huáng qín (黄芩 Scutellariae Radix, scutellaria [root]) 6g
• Bái qián (白前 Cynanchi Stauntonii Rhizoma, willowleaf swallowwort [rhizome]) 6g
• Dǎn xīng (胆南星 Arisaema cum Bile , bile [-processed] arisaema [root]) 6g
• Lái fú zǐ (莱菔子 Raphani Semen, radish seed) 3g
• Dān shēn (丹参 Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix, salvia [root]) 9g
• Tíng lì zǐ (葶苈子 Lepidii/Descurainiae Semen, lepidium/descurainia) 9g
• Dà zǎo (大枣 Jujubae Fructus, jujube) 12g
• Shēng gān cǎo (生甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix Cruda, raw licorice [root]) 3g

Actions: Clears heat and transforms phlegm; diffuses the lung and calms panting.

Indications: Externally contracted evils in the exterior with internal lung heat and exuberant phlegm, characterized by cough, panting with phlegm rale, sticky yellow phlegm, thirst, vexation and agitation. Tongue fur: Yellow. Pulse: Slippery and rapid.
