Ingredients:

• Fù zǐ (附子 Aconiti Radix Lateralis Praeparata, aconite [accessory root]) 9g
• Gān jiāng (干姜 Zingiberis Rhizoma, dried ginger) 6g
• Ròu guì (肉桂 Cinnamomi Cortex, cinnamon bark) 3g
• Rén shēn (人参 Ginseng Radix, ginseng) 6g
• Bái zhú (白朮 Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, white atractylodes [root]) 9g
• Fú líng (茯苓 Poria , poria) 9g
• Chén pí (陈皮 Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, tangerine peel) 6g
• Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) 6g
• Wǔ wèi zǐ (五味子 Schisandrae Fructus, schisandra [berry]) 3g
• Bàn xià (半夏 Pinelliae Rhizoma, pinellia [rhizome]) 9g
• Shēng jiāng (生姜 Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, fresh ginger) 9g
• Shè xiāng (麝香 Moschus , musk) 0.1g

Action: Returns yáng; boosts qì and engenders the pulse.

Indication: Aversion to cold with shivering, aversion to cold in the limbs, curled lying posture, green-blue lips, subdued and clouded spirit, generalized cold sweating. Pulse: Sunken, slow, and forceless.

Category: Interior-warming formulas / Yáng-returning desertion-stemming formulas

Method: Decoct with water.

Dosage: Take only until warmth returns to the limbs.
