Collecting rheum heart palpitation

停饮心悸 〔停飲心悸〕 tíng yǐn xī jì

Heart palpitation attributable to water-rheum collecting internally. Apart from heart palpitation, other signs include glomus and fullness in the chest and stomach duct, dizziness, nausea, short voidings of scant urine, white tongue fur, and a stringlike pulse.

Medicinal therapy: Free yáng and transform rheum. Use Poria, Cinnamon Twig, White Atractylodes, and Licorice Decoction (苓桂朮甘汤 líng guì zhú gān tāng) combined with Major Pinellia Decoction (大半夏汤 dà bàn xià tāng).

Acumoxatherapy: Base treatment mainly on back transport points, CV, HT, PC, and ST. Select BL-15 (Heart Transport, 心俞 xīn shù), HT-7 (Spirit Gate, 神门 shén mén), PC-6 (Inner Pass, 内关 nèi guān), BL-21 (Stomach Transport, 胃俞 wèi shù), BL-22 (Triple Burner Transport, 三焦俞 sān jiāo shù), CV-17 (Chest Center, 膻中 shān zhōng), CV-6 (Sea of Qì, 气海 qì hǎi), CV-12 (Center Stomach Duct, 中脘 zhōng wǎn), and ST-36 (Leg Three Lǐ, 足三里 zú sān lǐ); needle with even supplementation and drainage.
