Cold night crying

寒夜啼 〔寒夜啼〕 hán yè tí

Night crying attributed to vacuity cold in the organs. Cold night crying is characterized by crying associated with abdominal pain, lying with back bent, green-blue white facial complexion, lack of warmth in the limbs.

Medicinal therapy: Warm the center and dispel cold using Ginseng and Aconite Decoction (参附汤 shēn fù tāng).

Acumoxatherapy: Base treatment mainly on CV, GV, PC, ST, and empirical points. Use large amounts of moxa at PC-6 (Inner Pass, 内关 nèi guān), CV-12 (Center Stomach Duct, 中脘 zhōng wǎn), and ST-36 (Leg Three Lǐ, 足三里 zú sān lǐ), and pole GV-20 (Hundred Convergences, 百会 bǎi huì), and needle with even supplementation and drainage at Quiet Sleep (安眠 ān mián), Hall of Impression (印堂 yìn táng), and SI-3 (Back Ravine, 后溪 hòu xī).
