1. Waste discharged from the anus. Abnormalities of the stool are helpful in diagnosis. Malodorous sloppy yellow stool is associated with damp-heat. Frequent evacuation of small amounts of sticky stool containing blood is a sign of dysentery. Watery stool containing improperly digested food or duck slop may indicate cold-damp. Stool with bright red blood indicates heavy bleeding, usually in the anus or rectum is called proximal bleeding, i.e., bleeding in the digestive tract close to the anusand is observed in intestinal wind, hemorrhoid, anal fistula, and visceral toxin (3), intestinal wind bleeding.
