Qì vacuity center fullness

气虚中满 〔氣虛中滿〕 qì xū zhōng mǎn

Abdominal fullness attributed to spleen vacuity. The spleen and stomach are located in the center burner and are responsible for movement and transformation. Spleen-stomach qì vacuity manifests as impaired movement and transformation, which is characterized by poor appetite and abdominal glomus, fullness, and distension sometimes accompanied by sloppy diarrhea.

Medicinal therapy: Use Costusroot and Amomum Six Gentlemen Decoction (香砂六君子汤 xiāng shā liù jūn zǐ tāng).

Acumoxatherapy: Base treatment mainly on back transport points, CV, ST, and SP. Select BL-20 (Spleen Transport, 脾俞 pí shù), BL-21 (Stomach Transport, 胃俞 wèi shù), CV-6 (Sea of Qì, 气海 qì hǎi), CV-12 (Center Stomach Duct, 中脘 zhōng wǎn), ST-36 (Leg Three Lǐ, 足三里 zú sān lǐ), ST-25 (Celestial Pivot, 天枢 tiān shū), SP-4 (Yellow Emperor, 公孙 gōng sūn), and PC-6 (Inner Pass, 内关 nèi guān); needle with supplementation and moxa.
