Qì vacuity deafness

气虚耳聋 〔氣虛耳聾〕 qì xū ěr lóng

Deafness attributed to qì vacuity, occurring most commonly in advancing years or after illness. Qì vacuity deafness is often associated with tinnitus and is accompanied by scantness of breath, fatigue, heart palpitation, bland taste in the mouth, torpid intake, and forceless weak pulse.

Medicinal therapy: Supplement the center and boost qì using variations of Center-Supplementing Qì-Boosting Decoction (补中益气汤 bǔ zhōng yì qì tāng).
