Infertility

不孕 〔不孕〕bù yùn

Also being without child; breaking lineage. Inability to become pregnant between menarche and menopause. In clinical practice, a woman who fails to become pregnant within three years of normal conjugal life without the use of contraception is considered infertile. Discounting male factors, Chinese medicine recognizes congenital factors (see five unwomanlinesses) and acquired factors. Infertility that can be treated is attributed to a variety of causes.
