Depressed heat seminal emission

郁热遗精 〔鬱熱遺精〕yù rè yí jīng

Seminal emission arising when liver-kidney heat depression causes unhindered discharge of essence through the essence gate. Depressed heat seminal emission is associated with heat in the spine at night, abstraction and heat in the diaphragm, and in some cases a surging pulse and generalized heat.

Medicinal therapy: Clear heat and discharge depression. Use Pig’s Stomach Pill (猪肚丸 zhū dǔ wán) or Kidney-Enriching Pill (滋肾丸 zī shèn wán) plus dried/fresh rehmannia (Rehmanniae Radix, 生地黄 shēng dì huáng), root poria (Poria cum Pini Radice, 茯神 fú shén), spiny jujube (Ziziphi Spinosi Semen, 酸枣仁 suān zǎo rén), and acorus (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma, 石菖蒲 shí chāng pú).

Acumoxatherapy: Base treatment mainly on KI, LR, HT, and SP. Needle with drainage at KI-2 (Blazing Valley, 然谷 rán gǔ), KI-6 (Shining Sea, 照海 zhào hǎi), LR-3 (Supreme Surge, 太冲 tài chōng), LR-2 (Moving Between, 行间 xíng jiān), HT-7 (Spirit Gate, 神门 shén mén), PC-6 (Inner Pass, 内关 nèi guān), and HT-8 (Lesser Mansion, 少府 shào fǔ) and with supplementation at KI-3 (Great Ravine, 太溪 tài xī), and SP-6 (Three Yīn Intersection, 三阴交 sān yīn jiāo).
