Ingredients

• Hóng shēn (红参 Ginseng Radix Rubra, red ginseng) 15g
• Gé jiè (蛤蚧 Gecko , gecko) (with head and legs removed) 1 pair
• Běi shā shēn (北沙参 Glehniae Radix, glehnia [root]) 15g
• Wǔ wèi zǐ (五味子 Schisandrae Fructus, schisandra [berry]) 15g
• Mài dōng (麦冬 Ophiopogonis Radix, ophiopogon [root]) 9g
• Huà jú hóng (化橘红 Citri Grandis Exocarpium Rubrum, Huazhou pomelo rind) (or Jú hóng (橘红 Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Rubrum, red tangerine peel)) 9g
• Zǐ hé chē (紫河车 Hominis Placenta, placenta) 24g

Actions: Boosts qì and nourishes yīn; constrains the lung and calms panting.

Indications: Vacuity-type panting as seen in what biomedicine calls heart disease, pulmonary emphysema, and bronchiectasis (chronic dilatation of the bronchi).
