Indications:
This is the outer layer of skin that is separated from the white layer before drying. It has the same nature, flavor, channel entry, and dosage range as chén pí. It rectifies qì and loosens the center, and also dries dampness and transforms phlegm. It is suitable for cough with copious phlegm and for food accumulation, but only in the absence of heat signs.
Dosage & Method: Oral: 3–10g.
Quality: Large red pieces with high oil content are best.
