Major Wind Arousal Decoction
大醒风汤 〔大醒風湯〕 dà xǐng fēng tāng

Ingredients
- Shēng tiān nán xīng (生天南星 Arisaematis Rhizoma Crudum, raw arisaema [root]) 30g
- Shēng chuān wū (生川乌 Aconiti Radix Cruda, raw aconite main root) 15g
- Shēng fù zǐ (生附子 Aconiti Radix Lateralis Cruda, raw aconite [accessory root]) 15g
- Fáng fēng (防风 Saposhnikoviae Radix, saposhnikovia) 9g
- Quán xiē (全蝎 Scorpio , scorpion) 9g
- Dú huó (独活 Angelicae Pubescentis Radix, pubescent angelica) 9g
- Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) 3g
Actions: Expels wind-phlegm.
Indications: Wind stroke phlegm reversal and hemiplegia; joint-running wind (lì jié fēng) with hypertonicity of the sinews.
Method: Decoct with water.
