Birth-Hastening Beverage
催生饮 〔催生飲〕 cuī shēng yǐn

Ingredients
- Dāng guī (当归 Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Chinese angelica)
- Chuān xiōng (川芎 Chuanxiong Rhizoma, chuanxiong [rhizome])
- Dà fù pí (大腹皮 Arecae Pericarpium, areca husk)
- Zhǐ shí (枳实 Aurantii Fructus Immaturus, unripe bitter orange)
- Bái zhǐ (白芷 Angelicae Dahuricae Radix, Dahurian angelica)
Actions: Quickens the blood and moves qì; regulates qì and eliminates depression.
Indications: Difficult delivery with depressed essence-spirit, oppression in the chest and distension of the stomach duct, frequent belching. Tongue fur: Thin, white, and slightly slimy. Pulse: Sunken and stringlike.
Method: Ingredients in equal proportions. Decoct with water.
