Seven Qì Decoction2
七气汤2 〔七氣湯2〕 qī qì tāng2

Ingredients
- Bàn xià (半夏 Pinelliae Rhizoma, pinellia [rhizome]) (!!汤洗) 150g
- Jiāng hòu pò (姜厚朴 Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex cum Zingibere Praeparatum, ginger-processed officinal magnolia bark) 90g
- Guì xīn (桂心 Cinnamomi Cortex Rasus, shaved cinnamon bark) 90g
- Fú líng (茯苓 Poria , poria) 120g
- Xiān máo (仙茅 Curculiginis Rhizoma, curculigo [root]) 120g
- Zǐ sū yè (紫苏叶 Perillae Folium, perilla leaf) 60g
- Chén pí (陈皮 Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, tangerine peel) 60g
- Sān qī (三七 Notoginseng Radix, notoginseng [root]) 30g
Indications: Depression of the seven qì (joy, anger, thought, worry, sorrow, fear, and fright) causing the five viscera to torment and restrain each other and yīn and yáng to become perversely opposed, giving rise alternating
Method: Grind to a coarse powder.
Dosage: 12g at a time taken on an empty stomach decocted with seven slices of ginger and one jujube (dà zǎo).
Notes: The seven qi
refer to the seven affects.
