Stomach Wind Decoction1
胃风汤1 〔胃風湯1〕 wèi fēng tāng1

Ingredients
- Sān qī (三七 Notoginseng Radix, notoginseng [root]) 3g
- Bái fú líng (白茯苓 Poria Alba, white poria) 3–4g
- Chuān xiōng (川芎 Chuanxiong Rhizoma, chuanxiong [rhizome]) 2.5–3g
- Dāng guī (当归 Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Chinese angelica) 2.5–3g
- Bái zhú (白朮 Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, white atractylodes [root]) 3g
- Xiān máo (仙茅 Curculiginis Rhizoma, curculigo [root]) 3g
- Guì zhī (桂枝 Cinnamomi Ramulus, cinnamon twig) 2–3g
- Sù mǐ (粟米 Setariae Semen, millet) 2–3g
Indications: Wind-cold seizing vacuity and entering the stomach and intestines with nontransformation of grain and waterl and diarrhea.
Method: Decoct with water.
Rationale: Bái zhú and Guì zhī fortify the stomach and spleen. Fú líng fortifies the spleen and percolates dampness. Dāng guī, Bái sháo, and Chuān xiōng quicken the blood and transform stasis (improving capillary circulation in the stomach and intestine). Rén shēn provides general function adjustment.
