Ingredients

• Tù sī zǐ (菟丝子 Cuscutae Semen, cuscuta [seed]) 120g
• Sāng jì shēng (桑寄生 Taxilli Herba, mistletoe) 60g
• Xù duàn (续断 Dipsaci Radix, dipsacus [root]) 60g
• Ē jiāo (阿胶 Asini Corii Colla, ass hide glue) 60g

Actions: Supplements the kidney and quiets the fetus.

Indications: Habitual miscarriage due to kidney vacuity with aching lumbus and scant red flooding and spotting.

Rationale: Tù sī zǐ and Xù duàn both supplementing the kidney and reinforce yáng. They both have the special feature of addressing flooding and spotting, and Xù duàn in particular quiets the fetus and relieves lumbar pain. Sangjisheng[1] nourishes the blood and quiets the fetus. ē jiāo nourishes the blood and checks bleeding.
