Worm accumulation abdominal pain

虫积腹痛 〔蟲積腹痛〕chóng jī fù tòng

Abdominal pain due to worms in the stomach and intestine. Worm accumulation abdominal pain is associated with intermittent gripping pain, and in severe cases, with the vomiting of roundworm. Normally, there is clamoring stomach, predilection for strange foods, yellow face and emaciated flesh, worm macules on the face, blue speckles on the eyes, millet-shaped papules on the inside of the lips, and grinding of the teeth in sleep (bruxism).

Medicinal therapy: Expel worms and disperse accumulations with formulas such as Quisqualis Powder (使君子散 shǐ jūn zǐ sǎn), Worm-Expelling Pill (追虫丸 zhuī chóng wán), and Worm-Transforming Pill (化虫丸 huà chóng wán).

Acumoxatherapy: Base treatment mainly on back transport points, ST, and empirical points. Select BL-20 (Spleen Transport, 脾俞 pí shù), BL-25 (Large Intestine Transport, 大肠俞 dà cháng shù), ST-36 (Leg Three Lǐ, 足三里 zú sān lǐ), Hundred Worm Nest (百虫窝 bǎi chóng wō), and ST-4 (Earth Granary, 地仓 dì cāng). Use a strong stimulus.
