A method of treatment used to address panting due to kidney vacuity and nonabsorption of qì using medicinals such as codonopsis (Codonopsis Radix, 党参dǎng shēn), walnut (Juglandis Semen, 胡桃仁hú táo rén), psoralea (Psoraleae Fructus, 补骨脂bǔ gǔ zhī), cornus (Corni Fructus, 山茱萸shān zhū yú), schisandra (Schisandrae Fructus, 五味子wǔ wèi zǐ), and cooked rehmannia (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata, 熟地黄shú dì huáng).
Acumoxatherapy: Base treatment mainly on KI, CV, and back transport points. Select BL-23 (Kidney Transport, 肾俞 shèn shù), Panting Stabilizer (定喘dìng chuǎn), CV-6 (Sea of Qì, 气海 qì hǎi), KI-3 (Great Ravine, 太溪 tài xī), LU-9 (Great Abyss, 太渊 tài yuān), and ST-36 (Leg Three Lǐ, 足三里 zú sān lǐ); needle with supplementation and, if appropriate, moxa.
