Large intestine cold bind
大肠寒结 〔大腸寒結〕 dà cháng hán jié
Constipation due to cold qì in the large intestine and accompanied by dull abdominal pain, bland taste in the mouth, white tongue with scant fur, and a stringlike sunken pulse.
Medicinal therapy: Warm yáng and free the stool. Use
Acumoxatherapy: Base treatment mainly on alarm, lower uniting, and back transport points of LI, and on CV and SP. Select BL-25 (Large Intestine Transport, 大肠俞 dà cháng shù), ST-25 (Celestial Pivot, 天枢 tiān shū), ST-37 (Upper Great Hollow, 上巨虚 shàng jù xū), TB-6 (Branch Ditch, 支沟 zhī gōu), SP-6 (Three Yīn Intersection, 三阴交 sān yīn jiāo), CV-4 (Pass Head, 关元 guān yuán)mx, CV-6 (Sea of Qì, 气海 qì hǎi)mx, and CV-8 (Spirit Gate Tower, 神阙 shén què)mx; needle with supplementation or with even supplementation and drainage, and add large amounts of moxa.
