Headless flat-abscess

无头疽 〔無頭疽〕wú tóu jū

A yīn sore growing between sinew and bone or deep in the flesh. A headless flat-abscesses are attributed to the inward fall of toxin, congealing cold with stagnant qì; they are characterized by diffuse swelling and dull skin coloring. They are persistent, take a long time to burst and a long time to healand can cause rotting of the sinew and flesh.

Medicinal therapy: Warm the channels and disperse cold; quicken the blood and transform stasis. Take Harmonious Yáng Decoction (阳和汤 yáng hé tāng), Awake to Dispersion Pill (醒消丸 xǐng xiāo wán), or Minor Golden Elixir (小金丹 xiǎo jīn dān) orally and apply Harmonious Yáng Decongealing Plaster (阳和解凝膏 yáng hé jiě níng gāo) topically.
