Action: Disperses cold-damp; moves qì and blood.
Indication: Initial-stage yīn flat-abscess (yīn jū); multiple abscesses; lymphoid tuberculosis prior to rupture;

Method: Prepare as a paper-backed plaster, and melt before applying to the affected area.
Rationale: Chuān wū, Cǎo wū, and Fù zǐ, as well as Ròu guì, Shè xiāng, and Sū hé xiāng free yáng qì and warm and disperse cold-damp. Dāng guī, Chì sháo, Chuān xiōng, Rǔ xiāng, Mò yào, Dà huáng, and Dì lóng quicken the blood and dispel stasis, thereby freeing the network vessels and relieving pain. Chén pí, Mù xiāng, and Xiāng yuán rectify qì and move stasis, thus enhancing the action of the agents that disperse swelling and relieve pain.
