Ten-Ingredient Gallbladder-Warming Decoction
十味温胆汤 〔十味溫膽湯〕 shí wèi wēn dǎn tāng

Ingredients
- Bàn xià (半夏 Pinelliae Rhizoma, pinellia [rhizome]) 6g
- Jú hóng (橘红 Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Rubrum, red tangerine peel) 6g
- Zhǐ shí (枳实 Aurantii Fructus Immaturus, unripe bitter orange) 6g
- Fú líng (茯苓 Poria , poria) 4.5g
- Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) (mix-fried) 1.5g
- Sān qī (三七 Notoginseng Radix, notoginseng [root]) 3g
- Yuǎn zhì (远志 Polygalae Radix, polygala [root]) 3g
- Suān zǎo rén (酸枣仁 Ziziphi Spinosi Semen, spiny jujube [kernel]) 3g
- Běi wǔ wèi (北五味 Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus, northern schisandra [berry]) 3g
- Shú dì huáng (熟地黄 Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata, cooked rehmannia [root]) 3g
- Shēng jiāng (生姜 Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, fresh ginger) 5 slices
- Dà zǎo (大枣 Jujubae Fructus, jujube) 1 piece
Actions: Boosts qì and nourishes the blood; transforms phlegm and quiets the spirit.
Indications: Heart vacuity and gallbladder temerity with harassing phlegm marked by shortness of breath and lack of strength, heart vexation, and insomnia, fright palpitation or mania and withdrawal.
