Actions and indications: Courses wind and rectifies qì; stanches bleeding and reduces inflammation. Treats common cold; sand patterns (shā zhèng); lung wilting; pulmonary welling-abscesses (fèi yōng); head wind and dizziness; fetid mouth odor; painful pharynx; dysentery; postpartum wind stroke; vomiting of blood (blood ejection); nosebleed (nǜ xuè); flooding and spotting; blood strangury; injury from knocks and falls.
