Use: Medicinal

Properties: Sour*; warm*.

Actions and indications: Soothes the sinews and frees the network vessels; quickens the blood; relieves pain; and reduces inflammation. Treats wind-damp impediment (fēng shī bì); hypertonicity and pain of sinews and bones; numbness and tingling of the extremities; hemiplegia.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–15g), grind to a powder, or steep in wine.
