Properties: Bitter; balanced; nontoxic.

Actions and indications: Dispels wind and eliminates dampness; disperses swelling and relieves pain. Treats wind evil strike causing stiffness of the body and numbness and tingling; mouth sores in febrile disease; gān of the teeth and gums; throat impediment (hóu bì); intestinal wind bleeding; flat-abscesses (); hemorrhoids; genital itch; burns and scalds.
