Properties: Sweet and bitter; balanced.

Actions and indications: Supplements qì and quickens the blood; soothes the sinews and frees the network vessels. Treats qì vacuity; water swelling; sinew and bone pain; hemiplegia; dizziness; headache; cough; vomiting of blood (blood ejection); bone tuberculosis; vaginal discharge.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–15g), steep in wine, or stew with meat. Topical: Apply crushed.
