Schisandrae Propinquae Sinensis Radix, Caulis et Folium
小血藤 〔小血藤〕 xiǎo xuè téng

Use: Medicinal
Properties: Acrid; warm; nontoxic*.
Actions and indications: Moves qì, relieves pain, quickens blood, and disperses stasis. Treats injury from knocks and falls; wind-damp numbness and tingling; sinew and bone pain; consumption; vomiting of blood (blood ejection); amenorrhea; abdominal distension; swollen welling-abscesses (yōng zhǒng).
Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–15g) or steep in wine. Topical: Apply crushed or decoct as a wash.
