Use: Medicinal

Properties: Sweet and bland; balanced; nontoxic.

Actions and indications: Stanches bleeding. Treats coughing of blood; vomiting of blood (blood ejection); nosebleed (nǜ xuè); bloody urine or stool; wheezing and panting; child gān patterns; injury from knocks and falls; bleeding from external injury.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (30–60g dried, 30–150g fresh). Topical: Apply crushed.
