Use: Medicinal

Properties: Sweet; warm; nontoxic.

Channel entry: Liver and spleen channels.

Actions and indications: Dispels wind and boosts qì; absorbs dampness, and stanches bleeding. Treats dizziness; center vacuity and stomach pain; enduring dysentery; damp, putrefying sores; bleeding from external injury.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (3–6g), steep in wine, or apply ground. Topical: Apply dry or mixed with liquid.
